BBD Heart and some Garage Sale finds

Yesterday my friends and I went to House of Stitches to their annual Garage Sale.  There were lots of stitchers selling their unwanted stash and boy did we find some bargains -- Good Huswife and old Prairie Schooler charts for 25 cents and some even for a 10 cents:))  We were all very excited and then we went in the shop to get more new stash, fabric and fibers (LOL).   It was a great day with friends -- shopping and stashing and the weather was picture perfect too!

I found lots of great stuff but here are the things I was most excited about that I found at the Garage Sale:

This past week I made this little BBD heart with Simply Wool.  The wool was great to work with and I have a few more projects (including Jane Pattison) that I would like to do with the wool.  If you get a chance try it sometime because it really does give your stitching a different look.

I've ordered a couple of project bags lately.  First is from the very talented Faye.  A sweet little bag with some wool applique added.

The second one I ordered from Belinda (Blue Ribbon Designs)  Don't you just love the fabic used on this?  LOVE IT!

I have been doing some other stitching as well but no pics.  Working diligently on Christmas Garden by BBD.  I would love to have this finished before October 1 so that I can get it framed for Christmas.  I also have the September cottage to complete and I pulled out BBD  - Casting a Spell.  We painted the boxes last year but I never stitched all the little pincushions, etc for the inside.  I really need to do this -- so much to stitch and so little time.............

An Olympic Project Update

I hope everyone has been enjoying watching the Olympics the last couple of weeks.  I certainly have:))  I haven't gotten as much finished on my project as I would like and I certainly won't have it completed before Sunday, but when I do finish it and it's hanging on my wall I will remember the London 2012 Olympic games:)

You may or not remember that I was going to stitch Jane Osborn.  Wellllll, I changed my mind! (LOL)  I decided I didn't want another WIP so I went back to a sampler I started earlier this year where I had only put a few stitches in and decided that is what I wanted to complete during the games.

I'm really enjoying working on this and now that the over 1 verse is complete (THANK GOODNESS) I am getting to the FUN part!  Can't wait to stitch the Rice Stitch hills at the bottom.

I've had a few people ask about the August cottage and where my finish is.  Well to be quite honest I don't care for August and haven't stitched it.  I'm sure I will at some point but for now I'm looking towards stitching September.  I love the colors in this one-- red's, green and yellow.  Perfect for Fall.

It's been much cooler in the Chicagoland area the last few days and I'm looking forward to the cooler days (especially after the summer we've had) and of course Fall stitching.  Here are a couple of projects I want to stitch in the next month or so:
