Since my last post I've been frantically trying to finish some pre-stitching homework for the Tree of Life Samplings retreat which is this Thursday - Sunday in Terre Haute, Indiana. Most of our stitching group is going and we are all very excited!. Counting down the days:))
Here is the homework we needed to stitch -- a scissor fob, needlebook and pincushion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Yesterday I pulled out a necklace kit that I purchased a couple of months ago and finished it up. I'm really pleased with how it came out considering that there were no instructions on how to assemble all the little pieces together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I finally picked up Melicent Turner at Welcome Stitchery and I LOVE how it came out. I've used this frame moulding before and I will probably be using it again:))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Last weekend my husband went to Michigan and while there he bought this antique wooden bowl for me. It's definitely big enough to hold all twelve months of the cottages.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I also got an order from With Thy Needle and Thread last week. Isn't that little purse just darling? and I LOVE the Strawberry Hill Sampler. My friend Linda is working on it right now and I can't wait to see her progress:)
Thanks for visiting with me today. I always appreciate the comments you take the time to leave -- they make my day:))
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!!!
Enjoy your Sunday!
