Pincushion Finishes

Hello Stitching Buddies --
It's been a busy couple of weeks in my corner of the world.  Work continues at a very fast pace and at home we are just finishing up redoing our family room and living rooms.  After lots of rearranging, painting and cleaning I think we are just about done.  The most fun of the entire process was being able to rearrange my framing and give things a whole new fresh look.  We are very happy with how everything came out:))

Now on to some stitching. I finished the March cottage into a pillow this morning and here is a pic of the first 3 months in my wooden bowl.  If I stitch all 12 then I'm going to have to find a bigger bowl:)!
Now let me tell you a funny story about the next little finish.  A couple of weeks ago I wanted to stitch something small and went digging around and came up with this Little House Needleworks - Be True.  I got all the DMC thread pulled and the fabric and started stitching right away.   A few days later I was rearranging some little pillows down in my stitching room and lo and behold was this design already stitched and finished!  Can you believe it?  I certainly couldn't.!!!!  Out of ALL the stash that I have I chose to stitch this design TWICE and not on purpse either!  CRAZY I tell ya.  I think I'm going to take them both to stitching Sunday next week and see if one of the girls in my stitching group wants one of them:))
I'm continuing to plod along with Elizabeth.  You can't tell from this picture but I finally finished the house so hopefully things will move along a bit faster now.  Still LOVING working on this.

Well that's about it from me this week.  Have you seen any new Nashville things that you can't live without?  I'm excited about the new Blackbird book and the Plum Street Sampler designs.  I'm sure there will be more that I will be adding but those are at the top of my list for now.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.  I always appreciate the time it takes to leave a comment.

A Winner, A Finish and Beautiful Project Pouches

The weeks are just flying by.  It's hard to believe that it's almost the middle of February.  Tax Season has been pretty tough this year so I'm glad the weeks go by quickly!

On to the good stuff -- the winner of my giveaway is:
Congrulations Laurie!  Please e-mail me your address and I will get these in the mail to you this week.
I was able to finish the stitching on March Cottage but I didn't have time to finish it into a pillow.  Here is the ric-rac I picked out.  It looks really bright in this picture but it matches the floss pretty well.
I ordered two project pourches from Faye a couple of weeks ago and I received them this past week.  They are just wonderful:))  Faye did such a nice job of choosing these beautiful red prints.  The zipper pulls I chose were scissors and a spool.  I will definitely be ordering some more for myself and some for gifts.

Short and sweet this week.  Thanks for visiting with me, it always puts a smile on my face when I read your comments.

Have a great week.

March Cottage, A Finish and a Giveaway

I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful Sunday.  I've been doing a lot of stitching and organizaing of my stash:))  All in all a GREAT day.

This past week I finished Morning Star by Blackbird Designs. This is for a class I'm taking Friday night at Inspired Needle.

March cottage arrived in my mailbox this week so I got started right away.  I just LOVE the way the colors POP on this 32ct Amber linen.
I've been organizing my charts and I found some duplicates:) (LOL)  So I thought I would have a little giveway and give you all a chance to own these beauties.  Since I bought two of each of them I must have really liked them:))  All you have to do is comment on this post only and I will pick a winner and announce it next Sunday.

Enjoy your week and if you are a football fan enjoy this last football game of the 2011/2012 season.  I may live in Chicago Bear country but I also cheer on the Patriots!  Go Pats!!!

Thanks for visting today and as always thank you for your comments.
