Happy Fall Y'all!

Hello Stitching Buddies -
This past week I stitched up this little box top by The Drawn Thread:

 I thoroughly enjoyed stitching this piece with all the different stitches.  It's only about 3 1/2" squared and I'm going to put it in an Old Colonial Box Top.

This morning I rearranged my stitching room.  What a lot of work to move stuff, clean and then rehang all my pictures:)))  I really like the way it looks now!  After I was done I wanted to try out my new sewing area so I pulled out this Blackbird Designs stocking and finished it up to add to my Halloween Tree.

I'm having a case of startiritis today too!  I can't find anything I want to stitch --  Halloween, Christmas, another Drawn Thread Piece, Sampler or what????  Decisions, decisions.  I hate it when this happens because I am wasting precious stitching time!  I'm sure I can find something in my stash.....any suggestions?

Some Fall Punch Needle

I hope everyone is enjoying this last Sunday of Summer.  It's rainy and cool here -- a perfect Sunday for stitching.

This morning I framed these two punch needle designs by With Thy Needle and Thread.  I covered foam core board with hand-dyed wool and then mounted the punch needle on top.  I'm very pleased with how these came out.  The frames were 50% off at Hobby Lobby!!!

This afternoon I plan on stitching and watching football.  I've got homemade potato soup in the crock-pot so dinner will be easy peasy:))

A Very Special Sunday

Hello Friends --
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and remembering all those who lost their lives one decade ago.  It doesn't seem possible that our world changed forever 10 years ago.....

Today I went to Inspired Needle for the monthly stitching group and had a wonderful time:))  Iwas finally able to meet  Ranae and her friend Anna, what lovely ladies!  They will be coming to the Inspired Needle retreat in October too:))  Can't wait...  I know we will all have a great time stitching, laughing, shopping and inspiring each other:))

Cathy had two framing orders for me to pick up.  Here is Plum Street's Halloween Hornbook.  I am so pleased with how this turned out:

 I also finished this LHN monthly ornament.  I used white rick rack to trim the sides and red to make the hanger.

My brother and his family came Friday for a visit and my12 year old niece expressed a great interest in learning punch needle so it was fun to show her some basics and to get her started.  She is very creative so I know she will have some wonderful things to show me when I see her again in November.
